A schedule of approximately 15-17 hours per week will be expected. At the same time, recognize that events and activities come up and extended hours may occasionally be called for. The flexible nature of ministry makes schedule adjustments possible as the need dictates.
Compensation:
This is a salaried position set at $16,000 per year and will be reviewed annually by the elder board.

Children’s Ministry Coordinator (Part-time)
Job Overview: To inspire and lead a team dedicated to anchoring the hearts of children to the Truth and leading them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities:
- Serve and support the vision, mission and strategic plan of Lockport Alliance Church.
- Attend Sunday morning worship services regularly and serve as the KidMin representative to the Ministry Board.
- Chair the KidMin team and work with the team to recruit and train leaders for: nursery, preschool, LIFE Hour, AWANA, VBS, Kid’s Church, and the Christmas musical.
- Give leadership to the annual calendar and curriculum planning for KidMin.
- Coordinate a process for providing security for KidMin through background checks and Plan to Protect training. Pastoral staff can help with reference calls when needed.
- Oversee children’s outreach events (i.e. Trunk or Treat, Eggstravaganza).
- Maintain good communication with parents about all the activities and plans within KidMin.
- Coordinate the budget for children’s ministries and submit request(s) for same during the annual budget process.
- Provide regular encouragement, thanks, and support to volunteers.
- Organize and facilitate “Children’s Sunday” annually to highlight KidMin at LAC.
- Implement the use of technology (including SubSplash and Child Checkin) to improve KidMin. Work with the Tech Team at LAC where appropriate.
- Be a good steward of ministry resources and work to keep KidZone stocked and organized.
- Attend weekly staff meeting if schedule permits.
- Attend conferences and workshops as needed for ongoing skill development and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Evidences a solid and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Agrees with the Statement of Faith of the Christian & Missionary Alliance.

- Agrees to a background check by our search team during hiring process.
Abilities and Characteristics:
- A passion for children and a heart for ministry to them.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills. Uses those skills to communicate effectively with children and their families to build lasting redemptive relationships.
- Ability to recruit, train and mobilize leaders.
- Ability to work well with and to empower others.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict in a healthy, biblical way, and to mediate in conflict resolution among others as necessary.
- Maintains a high level of excellence and quality.
- Values a “team approach” to ministry and is loyal and teachable.
